This tin can widget can provide temporary relief of tinnitus and from my experience, also reduces the mind control or ‘piggybacking’ of messages being sent to the brain on whatever frequencies are causing the tinnitus. It’s a long way from being a cure-all but for a dozen rubber bands and 2 empty cans of chili beans, it’s about as cheap as shielding gets.

By tapping, rubbing, scratching, and lifting the cans from time to time, the sounds from the cans in my opinion are interrupting the signals going into the brain by the hearing system. These ‘actions’ take only a few seconds but are required for signal interruption.

There are certain adjustments that can be made to change the effect. A piece of foam on the lip of the can to allow some sound into the can does create the ‘seashell’ affect. If you wear glasses, the edge of the can can rest on the ear piece to achieve the same result.

For best results, a periodic and frequent ‘action’ on the cans is required.
