There have been many deceptions that have been brought against members of the church throughout the years. Many of them have come from the Catholic church, which hijacked the teachings of Christ to begin with.

The letters that Paul wrote to the Romans was to a group of believers in Jesus Christ and not to the state-sanctioned organization called the Roman Catholic Church which wasn’t officially founded until the edicts of Theodosius I in 380 and 381 A.D.

The Catholic church, identifying its head authority, is the Roman Catholic church founded by Roman political forces as the moniker still testifies to. The seat of authority over this universal, or catholic church is the Vatican, where the ‘figurehead’ of the church, the Pope, resides. The Vatican has its own city simply called Vatican City, which is part of — geographically speaking — the city of Rome even to this day.

The worship of Mary is a non-Biblical, false doctrine or teaching of the Catholic church. In the early centuries, most if not all pagan religions worshiped a female “deity” or goddess. As genuine Christianity began to show strength, the Roman politicians became fearful of the growing movement and maneuvered into position to protect their power base.

Emperor Constantine, claiming a miraculous conversion to Christianity — while still worshiping the sun god Isis — declared Christianity the official state religion in 312 A.D. and appointed himself as Pontifex Maximus becoming the first Pontiff or Pope.

In addition to this deceptive move, in an attempt to attract as many other pagan religions into Roman Catholicism, a female idol was needed to replicate the worship of the mother goddess worshiped in many other pagan religions.

The mother goddess idol was often depicted holding an infant boy thereby allowing Mary and the son she gave birth to, the Son of God, Jesus, to be an easy replacement for the ideal.

When Rome went from being pagan to Christian under Constantine, they had to find a replacement for the great mother of paganism. It was not until the time of Constantine that anyone began to look at Mary as a goddess. Since Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ, she was the most logical person to replace the pagan mother goddess. The pagans could continue their prayers and devotion to the mother goddess, only they would call her Mary. – Source: http://www.eaec.org/cults/romancatholic.htm

With the worship of Mary, or in reality the worship of the female goddess, the pagan practices abounded. The ‘Blessed Mother’ would be exalted to the title of Queen of Heaven and Mother of God thereby being set higher than Christ Himself.

The spirit of idol worship and blasphemy of both God the Father and His Son Jesus was in the deeper sense an antichrist spirit that hated Christ and worshiped Satan.

When we look at the practices of worship within Roman Catholicism closely we begin to see the duplicity, deception, and degradation of the true deity, Jesus Christ.

Not only is the practice of repetitious and vain praying condemned in the Bible, the language of the Hail Mary and other Marian prayers said while counting Rosary beads is utterly blasphemous.

They believe in repetitious prayer to Mary, saints and angels. The complete Rosary involves repeating the Hail Mary 53 times, the Lord’s prayer 6 times, 5 Mysteries, 5 Meditations on the Mysteries, 5 Glory Be’s, and the Apostles’ Creed. The Rosary did not come into general use until after the beginning of the thirteenth century, and not officially sanctioned until after the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century. The concept of praying to Mary, saints, and angels is not found in the Bible; on the contrary, we are directed to pray to our Father. (Matthew 6:9-13) In the Rosary, Mary is prayed to almost 9 times for every prayer directed to God. The Bible speaks out very clearly against praying in vain repetitions as the heathens do. Source: http://www.eaec.org/cults/romancatholic.htm

In saying the Rosary, the Hail Mary is said 53 times. At the beginning of each stanza, Mary is worshiped with deifying language such as, “Hail” and “Mother of God.” No man or woman is to be “hailed” or exalted nor does ‘God’ have a creator, let alone a ‘mother.’ But would you know it, that the Creator, at the end of each stanza has been put in His respective place according to the spirit of the Roman Catholic church. Yes, at the end of the 1st stanza is the Name Jesus and at the end of the last, before the salutation Amen, is the word ‘death.’

So what does God see and hear when someone recites the vain and profane Marian prayers of the Rosary? I have highlighted most of what I consider blasphemous and duplicitous words, phrases, capitalizations, exaltations, etc. but there are a few I was on the fence with or possibly over looked. Nevertheless, the offenses are obvious.

80. O GOD, WHOSE… O GOD, WHOSE only-begotten Son by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech Thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Who is the Person Mary gave birth to?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. – Jhn 1:1-14 KJV
